The lead motive behind founding the College was to create an avenue for the training of scholars of Arts, Humanities, Science and Technology with the core mindset of piety as enshrined in the teachings of the Glorious Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahualayhiwa salaam).
The founder of the College, Dr Ibrahim Adelani Ballo, is a product of Arabic, Islamic and Western education. He has got a wide experience and exposure having studied in Africa and Asia. He has a vision of a citadel of learning where the products would be sound in academics, piety and morality. This explains why in every aspect of the conception, planning and execution of the College, solid foundation that took into consideration these goals is laid.
The institution is structured and programmed to be a centre of academic excellence and spiritual upliftment for whoever passes through it. Basic humanitarian services required of every human being with empathy also constitute part of the unwritten contents of the programme. This is expected of every graduate of BnBallo College of Arts and Islamic Sciences. The reason is simple: as long as charity is a notable cardinal programme of Islam, it is incumbent on conscious Muslims to allow the spirit permeates their lives .

Philosophy
Arabic as a language is serving two major purposes in the world today. It is the language of Islam being the language in which Qur’an was revealed. In addition to this, it is also the language of worship for Muslims whose population is more than one fifth of the world population. So, giving recognition to such a language is apt.
The second reason is Arabic is among the six world languages recognized as languages of instruction, commerce, diplomacy, advocacy and adjudication by the United Nations. Hence, the internationalization of Arabic at global level puts some degree of credence and universal recognition on it. Learning and mastery of such a language will surely make the scholar to become a much sought after in the global market.
Without being sentimental, Arabic is spoken in virtually all the continents of the world today. At the academic and professional level, apart from combining Arabic with any other discipline, it can function as a language of international relations.
Each course is designed with its purpose and values. The main philosophy is to make the knowledge acquired from courses in Arts (Arabic and others; and Islamic sciences serve as means of generating sources of living legitimately for the graduates and make them useful citizens in their immediate community, nation and global community at large. Each discipline in Arts, Humanities and Sciences could make its graduates useful members of their societies who would garner their talents and skills to become contributors to the global wealth. Here lies the core philosophy behind the pursuit of each course – to develop human beings who will in turn become useful citizens who will develop their societies and the world.
By and large, this is our focus at BnBallo College of Arts and Islamic Sciences. With consistent hardwork, spirit of camaraderie and discipline that permeate the rank and file of our establishment, our College and her graduates have a place on the higher wrung of the ladder of greatness and global development in a near future date.
